Rishad Premji son of Azim Premji moved up the Wipro management after getting a new role. Rishad Premji’s new role will involve handling investor relations & maintaining dialogue with Wipro’s financial investors & key stakeholders.
Rishad Premji ascent comes close to the recent announcement of Shiv Nadar’s daughter Roshni Nadar who took charge at HCL Corp. It seems the season is ripe with move to next generation.
The elder of Wipro Chairman Azim Premji’s two sons, Rishad studied at the Harvard Busines School and graduated from Wesleyan University, Connecticut. With an interest in software and music, Rishad has learnt one thing from his father, and that is to maintain a low profile. Rishad was with Bain and Co and also had a brief stint with GE before doing his MBA.
He was considered the second most eligible bachelor in the county after Rahul Gandhi till he tied the knot with childhood sweetheart Aditi at a simple ceremony in Mumbai in August 2005. Nothing much is known about Rishad’s tall and attractive wife, it is said that she is also no-nonsense person. His younger brother Tariq Premji is currently with the Azim Premji Foundation.
