BANGALORE, INDIA: Ranjan N. Acharya, corporate vice president, Human resources of Wipro Ltd has passed away on July 15, Wednesday 2009 at 6pm.
He was a member of the Corporate Executive Council (CEC), the top management think tank for Wipro Corporation and also the Convener for the Strategic Leadership Development Council under the guidance of the Chairman of Wipro.
He institutionalized many leadership and management development initiatives, apart from guiding the PCMM process at both Wipro Technologies and Wipro Infotech.
He was among the 21 in the world to be certified by SEI and CarnegieMellon as a PCMM Lead Assessor. An M.B.A from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (1980), he started his career with TELCO (Pune) in 1980 and then moved to Wipro Infotech in 1982.

Update: Rediff informs us that they haven’t abandoned Indic languages for email altogether - they intend to include Indian languages in the new user interface once some bugs have been fixed. The New Rediffmail is available for new registrants as of now, and Rediff also intends to make the new interface available to Rediffmail PRO users. In terms of giving users the option of adding RSS feeds, the company might include feeds from social networks like Orkut, LinkedIn, Facebook besides Rediff in the Feeds, but there’s no plan on making it a feed reader.

The blue-white-grey interface is now almost all white, with a dose of red icons. The new Rediff Mail has a neat, minimalist interface without many advertisements. Gone is the left menu bar, and consequently the text advertisements there, as well as the text advertisements; one large banner on the right remains, and banner advertisements are sent out in the emails. - Activate POP3, Check mail via SMS/GPRS - once in the menu bar, have been moved to the ‘Settings’ section. The navigation is now entirely top menu based, except in case of the settings section. What amazed me is the speed with which Rediffmail loads, and that switching between the old version and the new version is almost instantaneous. Those who tried Yahoo mail when it launched an Outlook Express like interface for mail would remember how long that switch took. That was a different beast, though.
Mobile Version
As we’d mentioned, the mobile version is again clean and minimalist, and appears to be ads free.
Other Features: Calendar; Why Not A Feed Reader?

The key feature of Rediffmail’s 2006 relaunch, was its focus on Indian languages: supported by Tachyon (Quillpad), a company in which Rediff increased its stake to 26% earlier this year, Rediffmail offered 11 Indian languages, much like Sify, which was once a competitor. Last year, in a talk at the Internet Governance Forum which led to much debate on MediaNama, Rediff CEO Ajit Balakrishnan said that 99% of Rediffmail users prefer to use email in English. Thus, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the new Rediffmail does not allow users to compose text in Indian languages.

.Summer Nelson, 28, babysitter of Post Falls was charged Monday with four counts of lewd conduct with a child, has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old boy ,lady (Summer Nelson) was hired to watch in August 2007.She was a friend of the victim’s mother.
Court documents say she was left alone with the victim and two of his younger siblings many a times.
Police say the abuse took place in 2007, but were not inform crime until December of 2008. After a seven-month investigation detectives found there were at least four sexual encounters that occurred between Summer Nelson and the young teen back in August of 2007.
Nelson remains in custody in the Kootenai County Jail on $50,000 bond, and is facing four counts of lewd conduct with a child. If convicted could face up to life in prison.

THE SHORT STORY…
While teaching and working with our 3 year old son on how to ice skate, I was able to see and experience first hand both parents and children getting frustrated. They just weren’t having fun together at the ice rink or pond. Mostly because no one ever made a safe and reliable ice skating product for a toddler or a smaller child. What was offered was not designed well at all or had very poor quality and usually broke during the first use. I saw a lot of crazy things going on with parents who were trying to help out with teaching their little ones how to ice skate, but mostly it just led to more bad times at the ice rink. Parents using single blades that were not even close to fitting them, they stuffed on extra socks, they put mittens on their feet, they laced them up so tight that they couldn’t even move, and so on. There were even people who tied some type of ice skates around the outside of their sneakers.
LITTLE CHILDREN AND TODDLERS WERE BECOMING DISCOURAGED NOT ENCOURAGED!
All of these attempts and efforts led to bad times and troubles at the ice rink! Young little tots were falling all over, couldn’t walk straight, couldn’t use a single blade, and the tie up things around the sneakers always seemed to be breaking off or bending.
Also at many ice rinks and outdoor facilities I noticed that if you had no ice skates you couldn’t go out on the ice. Simply put it was, no skates - no ice time. That usually left someone inside the ice rink to watch the little one while everyone else was out there having fun! How fun was that for the FAMILY?
ONE LITTLE STEP FOR A SPECIAL LITTLE ONE – ONE GIANT STEP FOR DAD!
Well you see the day came that our younger son (who was just over a year old) was really itching to get out on the ice. It really seemed as though he wanted to get out on the ice and have some fun with brother. Well from what I had seen and learned from other parents and smaller children; I didn’t want to make the same mistake and DISCOURAGE him. I did not want to put him into a poorly designed product or a scrappy piece of garbage that was made overseas.
NOBODY MADE QUALITY ICE SKATES – IN HIS SIZE RANGE AT ALL!
After all of the searching and endless research it led me to design and develop a pair of HIGH QUALITY ICE SKATES for my special little ice skater! It took more work and research than you could imagine because we were making something that never existed – a BABY ICE SKATE!
It had to be constructed to last, built with high regards to comfort and fit, and for smaller children with usually a wider or chubby foot width or dimension. Most importantly it had to have QUALITY built into the product throughout!
I was building these for my son so you know that I was concerned about his safety, the fit, and the reliability!
It took time for product development and testing. We even had a group of smaller children to help us test our product out. Also we made sure to include the feedback and insight from various important groups and organizations; Learn to Skate Organizations, Figure Skating Teachers and Coaches, Hockey Program Coordinators and Coaches, Hockey Players, Figure Skaters, Speed Skating Trainers and Coaches, and more. All of there feedback, shared experiences, suggestions, and time was greatly appreciated! I had so many models and parts of ice skates all over our dining room and kitchen table, there were hundreds of them scattered about. There were meetings with suppliers and people who could give me some help. It was a lot of running around and much work.
THE BIG DAY ARRIVED – WITH A SLIP SLIDE AND AWAY!
The big day had come… I took my son out on the ice in his newly made pair of BABY ICE SKATES! In short he took to it like a little duck to water! He received a lot of attention and yes he was even a bit of a little show off!
I’ll remember that day for the rest of my life he was only around a year old. My determination and love for him helped him to get on the ice at a more accelerated – earlier age and he was having fun. Even though the experience was a little new for him being out on the ice, you could tell and just watch that he was having fun and learning something new in the process.
HAPPINESS IS BEING PART OF THE GANG!
The little guy just enjoyed his ICE SKATES and he had fun at the rink. He was out with his brother and friends being part of the gang. There was no crying or wining. There were no urges to get off the ice skating surface as soon as possible. It was fun for him and his older brother and friends enjoyed him being out there too! Between the showing off and all the comments people had made you could not imagine what it had done for his self-esteem. My son was looking at me through his little clear visor and it was like he was saying to me, “Daddy I can’t believe I am doing this!”
IT IS NEVER TOO EARLY TO LEARN HOW TO ICE SKATE OR HAVE FUN!
At about (17) months our son was out on the ice as a regular having fun with his brother and friends. He was handling it all by himself and enjoying it too. He looked forward to gathering and packing his pair of BABY ICE SKATES and went out ice skating about once a week.

We are still making these super-cute little ice skates as though they were being made for my son. We pay great attention to detail, quality, safety, and craftsmanship throughout the entire process. We still test each and every single pair throughout and make sure they meet our quality, safety, and relibility standards.
We still follow the goals that were thought of when the first pair of BABY ICE SKATES was being put together.

THE SHORT STORY…
While teaching and working with our 3 year old son on how to ice skate, I was able to see and experience first hand both parents and children getting frustrated. They just weren’t having fun together at the ice rink or pond. Mostly because no one ever made a safe and reliable ice skating product for a toddler or a smaller child. What was offered was not designed well at all or had very poor quality and usually broke during the first use. Photos Of Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi Parasailing Three Months Before Their Murder
In the photos supplied by TMZ, McNair and Kazemi can be seen parasailing together on some kind of beach getaway. It’s clear the two had some sort of special relationship.
McNair and Kazemi were both found shot to death in Tennesee yesterday — McNair’s body was riddled with bullets, Kazemi suffered just one shot to the head. Authorities say a gun was found very close to her body.
Officials won’t classify the incident as a murder/suicide just yet … but so far, the facts seem to point in that direction.
McNair, a former NFL MVP who was married with four children, was 36 years old.

Sky Watch Friday +++ The best song of Michael Jackson*
My Japanese friend posted an article about her favorite Michael’s song to mourn Michael.
So I said “ Count me in!”
After him passing away I found many people were fans of him more than I thought.
People talked about only his strange acting and suspicions like gossips and
I didn’t know who was fan of his.
I’m more than willing there is a lot of fan more than I imagined but I wanted to tell him it before him dead.
The best his song for me is “ Man in the mirror “.
When I listen to the song, I’m impressed also the song soothes me but I get excited.
I wrote something about it before on this blog.
Speaking of being impressed, it’s not only his song but also his dance!
We can see his great dance in “ Billie Jean” also “ Beat it “
But the most wonderful dance I think is his dancing in “ Smooth Criminal “.
This videoclip is really long like a movie. So there are not many people who saw all.
There are some scenes that Michael danced with criminals in this story and he is SO cool in it.
I have a video tape and I hope I copy my damaged video tape to DVD well.
His songs are not special songs for me and his songs are songs that I just wanna listen to.
I listen to them everyday.
I copied his songs on mp3 player that I got for my husband getting rid of his stress. And my sister has man in the mirror that I copied for her on the car. So I listen to it when I'm on her car.

Concentrate
How can i concentrate on my studies?
You must train yourself. As soon as you think about something else, immediately change your thought on your studies. Keep doing this over and over. I like to put a small sign on my hand with pen and whenever I see that it reminds me to think about my studies and get back on it.
Prep your mind to concentrate. It's like warming up before a race.
As another person said, exercise is good to help concentration, a little light exercise before going to work, or even just a brisk walk around the block when you get there before entering the building.
There was also a recent study that school kids did much better at concentrating in class when they chew gum. If there isn't a rule against it at work, you could try chewing sugarless gum and see if it improves your focus.
I've also used an exercise before things I have to concentrate on called "magic key". It's just a little game that gets you focused and can calm your mind and help concentrate. You tie a key or a ring or a pendant on the end of a string, and dangle it above a surface and concentrate on it. You try to make it swing in a particular direction with your mind. After a minute or so the key starts swinging in the right direction - but not really by magic. It just seems that way. Your body just responds to your mind in subconscious ways.
Start out slow. Make an out line about what topics you would like to cover in what paragraphs for your report. Then, find a quiet place to study. If you don't have a library near by, then sit in a room that you find very plain. That way, you don't have anything to distract you. Don't listen to music, unless its at a very low volume. Also, don't sit somewhere where people will walk by. Tell family members not to bother you and put on some outside noise blocking headphones. This way you should be able to hear only your thoughts and focus on your paper.
